    I don’t know what it is but sometimes when you try to create a new Salesforce developer org when you click on the confirmation email you are not sent to password page for the final step in the process for signing up an account

    If the link doesn’t work you have two possible options:

    You have just signed up a new Salesforce org and have no other users in the org:

    You are basically stuck. If you had admin access to the org already you would be able to reset the password. In these cases, I’ve just created a new dev org using the same email address as before but a different username.

    If you have created the user in an existing org:

    If you have created an additional user in an org you already have access too. Login using your admin user and navigate to:

    1. Setup > Users > Users
    2. Click the user you are having issues with
    3. Click the “Reset Password” button on the user record.

    This will regenerate the email and usually works.
