Hello Francis, in the lectures classic UI is mainly shown but while creating my own app on lightning UI i am unable to relate, can you please sugest ?
Good question. I have a mixture of Classic UI and Lightning UI videos in the course at the moment because a lot of customers still use the classic user interface due to the limitations in lightning. BUT at the end of the day the lightning user interface and classic user interface are exactly that. User interfaces. The underlying processes and security are exactly the same although in lightning there are some new features that you can’t get in classic which I show in the course.
So when you create a field on a page layout in classic that field will also appear in lighting. The user interfaces may be slightly different navigating to get to the creating that field (in lightning you use the object manager in setup and in classic you just navigate to the object in setup or via the custom objects option). But the end result does the same. The field is created, assigned to the correct profiles, page layouts etc.
